YAMA WARASHI

FRI 3 JUNE | SHACKLEWELL ARMS

Yama Warashi, fronted by Yoshino Shigihara, comes to London’s The Shacklewell Arms for the live debut of her soon-to-be-released album Crispy Moon.

Descriptions of Yama Warashi’s music have varied from “eclectic Japanese folk and psych grooves”, to “free Jazz and tribal African music”, to simply bubbling “past any barriers placed in their way”. Their work is evocative, wonderfully weird, and undoubtedly exciting. Those who enjoy the works of Sarathy Korwar, Ishmael Ensemble, and Alabaster DePlume are sure to enjoy the offerings of Yama Warashi
