Webmoms & Chiminyo

17 NOV | SERVANT JAZZ QUARTERS

In what is quite possibly the best 2-for-1 offer out there, Webmoms and Chiminyo head to London’s Servant Jazz Quarters this November for an intimate double headline show.

The brainchild of Cornwall-based multi-instrumentalist and producer Karum Cooper, Webmoms serves up rich, sultry tunes that span lo-fi hip hop, RnB, and soul.

Karum’s nuanced and original sound has received critical support from the
likes of Complex UK, Stamp The Wax, and Magnetic Magazine, and has garnered seals of approval across various BBC introducing networks as well as BBC Radio 6.

Chiminyo, the rhythmic force behind Cykada and Maisha, is a drummer and producer from North London who combines the raw, immediate live sound of percussion and the futuristic timbres of his electronic productions to create his own, daring soundworld. Via laboriously self-coded software, each cymbal crash and drum hit triggers a synth or sample, allowing Chiminyo complete control and freeing him of all loops, click-tracks and backing tracks.
