Having rocked a sold out show in London last year, internationally respected Malian guitarist Vieux Farka Touré returns to the UK to showcase his virtuosic musicianship once more.

After the momentous release of Ali, a collaborative album with indie-darlings-turned-global-powerhouse Khruangbin, Vieux Farka Touré’s star power is spreading far and wide.

Revered as “the Hendrix of the Sahara”, Touré’s limelight has now widened beyond the World Music stage. Although always inspired and propelled by the far-reaching legacy of his late-father Ali Farka Toure and the Songhai music of northern Mali, Touré’s music has found a distinctive voice of its own. Blending traditional melodies and rhythms with soft touches of hypnotic psychedelia, his music is riveting in all its twists and turns.
