DONNA THOMPSON

SUPPORT FROM DOT NEVER

13 OCTOBER | OLD QUEEN’S HEAD

Drummer, vocalist, and songwriter Donna Thompson, key figure and collaborator in the increasingly legendary Total Refreshment Centre, comes to London’s Old Queen’s Head for the live debut of her EP Something True (PRAH Records).

In Something True, Donna offers up four tracks of swirling, cinematic jazz and meditative R&B that grapples with the importance of self-love, of community and the strength found within oneself and others. Alongside Donna, Something True features her friends John Atterbury (guitar), Hannah Miller (cello) and Alabaster Deplume (sax).

Joining Donna Thompson as support are collective Dot Never. Dot Never’s music combines visceral electronica with angular, alternative rock, created out of their South East London studio. Having met and performed together under various guises at university, the collective eventually took form as Dot Never as a conduit for their love of both experimental guitar music and the London club scene, and quickly gained a reputation as a formidable live band.
